I'm returning these and never using a Q-See product again. The reception and quality is aweful - even less than acceptable in this price range. I decided to try this camera as an upgrade to one of my older B&Ws. Go with the Swann minis - great reception and long term quality at the same price level. The worst camera I have ever dealt with. I have purchased several systems and cameras for my businesses in the past and have found several good cameras in the same price range on Amazon. Even plugged directly into my DVR, the quality was poor.
Video and audio quality are both excellent, and its size and weight allow it to be installed pretty much anywhere. This product looks, behaves, and performs precisely as advertised. Zero problems.
I had to cut out the plastic covering over the lens to make the picture clearer. The quality of the camera is OK. No good in dim light.
Reasonable resolution for such an inexpensive and compact unit. Nice unit. Plugged it in and connected it to my vivotec streaming unit and was up and running in minutes.
I also purchased Q-See night vision cameras, which had even worse picture. Bad experience with all Q-See cameras that I tried (although the Q-See capture cards worked well). Poor picture, even for a low priced camera. In full sunlight the picture is not bad, any light less than full direct sun is grainy and washed out.
